Tunnel cable installation
Garde are experts in cable installation tasks such as laying cable in tunnels under railway lines, creeks, roads etc. Typically tunnels are narrow in diameter (around 1.5m) and could be up to 500 metres in length. Cable installation can be very difficult as the space is confined. Specialist equipment is needed to install and remove the rollers which will carry the cable, and to install the brackets to permanently support the cable in a ‘trefoil’ arrangement. The tunnels maybe filled with grout or they may be open-air to enable future access.
