Cable maintenance
Garde has full time maintenance crews to assist clients such as EnergyAustralia and Transgrid repair damaged cable. Damage to oil-filled cables can mean that oil leaks into the surrounding soil, affecting cable function and creating an environmental impact. Garde maintenance crews need to locate the damage, expose the cable to enable repair, and then backfill and restore the site. Emergency crews also respond to situations such as cable damage caused by building activity or submarine cable damage caused by anchors.
